Originally from Constantine in northeastern Algeria, Dr. Anabi (meaning “to be generous”) first practiced as a veterinarian in his home country. After settling in Canada in 2015, he graduated from Collège Boréal as a certified Animal Health Technician in 2017 and began his teaching career within the same program, where he remained for 5 years.
Passionate about companion animal veterinary medicine, oncology, internal medicine, and pathology, he has practiced in establishments of various types, including DMVET Center – Oncology, a cat-only clinic, and general practices in Gatineau–Ottawa. Dr. Anabi is confidently pursuing his equivalency process to finalize his veterinary license in Canada.
Teamwork is truly important to him, and empathy for our furry friends is essential. When he is not on duty, he plays guitar, practices photography, or enjoys sports. His main daily inspiration is a quote written by Ivan Pavlov: “If the physician heals man, the veterinarian heals humanity.”
Dr. Anabi joined our team in September 2024.
