World Cat Day

If you love watching cute cat videos online, you’ll be pleased to know that today is International Cat Day! Today around the globe we are celebrating one of the most popular pets on the planet. Started in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare.

One of the best ways to honour your feline friend on their day is to make sure they are healthy with a preventative health exam at your vet. In fact, we are already getting ready for National Take Your Cat to The Vet day. We know that not only cats are masters at hiding diseases until they are advanced, but 58% of cat caregivers have difficulty getting their cat to the vet. We want to make it easier for you and your cat to have the preventive care they need for a long and happy life.

From now until Aug 22nd (National Take Your Cat to The Vet day) every cat who comes in for a preventive health exam will have a chance to win one of 5 prizes including a new cat carrier. Getting your cat to the vet is often the hardest part. That is why it is so important to acclimate your cat to his carrier. The first step is to have the right carrier for your pet. If you need help training your cat to accept going in his carrier don’t hesitate to ask us for tips & tricks.

Looking for other ways to celebrate with us? Share a photo of your cat and use #InternationalCatDay, don’t forget to tag us in your photos. You can also volunteer or donate to your local cat rescue. If you have food or blankets to donate and don’t know where to bring them or are short on time you can drop them off at our clinic and we will take them to cat rescue organizations for you.
